Paul was writing about a people that had done about everything that could be called unrighteous, not only was they living unrighteous lives they were trying to change the truth into a lie, they was holding the truth in unrighteousness, trying to justify their sins, just like many are doing in their religions today, as we have already said their thinking had become, and it is still vain today for men and women to think that God will allow them to change his word to justify their sins, this people did not want to retain God or the truth in their knowledge, so God gave them over to a reprobate mind.
KJV Romans 1:28-32 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Paul talks about the last days when the son of perdition shall come forth who will bring forth his lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. This is what is happening many want receive the love of the truth that they might be saved, but will believe a lie of the devil, which is being taught in religious circles today, teaching that man can have his pleasure in unrighteousness and still be saved , but that teaching will damn the souls who believe it and practice it, for the wrath of God is against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, these that Paul was writing to was filled with all unrighteousness, we will look at some of the things he mentions in the above scripture, fornication being first. Definition of FORNICATION : consensual sexual intercourse between two persons not married to each other
The unmarried in our time that are living together are committing fornication, and saying that its not sin, and many religions are excepting it, now those ear tickling preachers and teachers may say its ok, just so they love one another, but what they are doing is teaching a lie and trying to justify it in their religions, those who are living together are in the same condition that the women that Jesus spoke to at the well, he ask her to call her husband, now he knew she was living with a man that was not her husband, even though she was trying to hid it, but sin can’t be hid from God.
KJV John 4:16-18 16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. 17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: 18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. We will continue with Ro.1:28-32 talking about the unrighteousness of man, hoping all that read this will continue to look at the word of God with us.
