Eternal Life by Rev Carl Robbins

We will be adding to this subject.

‘ Tit.1:1-2
[1] Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
[2] In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Paul’s hope was not in this life, or in the things of this world, he knew that the things of this world were just temporal and for this reason he didn’t grow weak in faith, even though he knew that outward man would come to its end, but he didn’t worry about that, for the inward man was being renew day by day, and he was not looking at the things of this world ,but was looking for that which was eternal.

2Cor.4
16] For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
[17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
[18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Paul knew that when it came time for his departure from this life that he was ready, for he knew that which God had promised was eternal life , and he knew he had laid up in store a good foundation against the time to come, and had laid hold upon eternal life

KJV 1 Timothy 6:19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
Paul knew when it came time for him to give up his earthy house of this life, that he had a building of God not made with hands, eternal in heaven.

KJV 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

When it came time for Paul to depart this life, he said he had fought a good fight he had finished his course, and had [ kept the faith ] and he believed that God would keep his promise to give him eternal life, and would have a crown of life awaiting him, and not for him only ,but for all that will fight the fight, finish the course, and keep the faith.

2Tim. 4 :6-8
[6] For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
[7] I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
[8] Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
We will adding to this subject in time to come.

We will be adding more to this subjet.

KJV Titus 1:1-2
1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Paul believed God would keep his promise, which he had promised before the world begin, and Paul knew that God wanted him to live Godly and to have a good profession before man, and this was the message he passed on to Timothy.

KJV 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Paul had fought a good fight of faith, as he was called to do, and had professed a good profession before many witnesses, as all that have been called to serve God should do, while many in our time are professing to know God; but in works they deny him, as they were doing in Paul’s time, being disobedient, and to every god work reprobate’s.

KJV Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Paul knew that sin would bring forth death, but he also knew that the gift of God is eternal life , and that eternal life came through Jesus Christ and none other.

KJV Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

He knew that grace came through Jesus Christ, and that grace would bring forth righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord

KJV Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
